ABOUT
BOREDED UP PRODUCTIONS
Boreded Up Productions started from a spark of
inspiration. In January of 2003 I went on a
snow-boarding trip to colorado with my good friend
Jordan. Jordan and I went to school together, so we
had been friends for many years. As we were
snow-boarding in Aspen, CO, I saw a guy filming the
snow-boarders. This made me think and it seemed like
something I would like to do. I figured it would be
an awesome hobby, and someday would turn into an
amazing career. I knew it would be awesome to film
the sports that I was participating in. On the long
10 hour ride back to AZ, where Jordan was living, we
brainstormed and came up with the company name.
Boreded Up Productions was born. When I returned home
to Illinois I immediately bought a camera and started
planning out where I was going to start. I started
attending wake-boarding events and meeting new people.
They were very supportive of my filming and were
happy to let me show me around. I then ended up
spending the entire summer filming. It was one of the
best summers I had ever had. It was so great to meet
new people, see new things, and get to party a lot. I
was getting some amazing footage and gaining even
better friends. After filming for the summer, and a
bit into the winter, I compiled all of my footage and
started to edit my first film, Mullet Mayhem. There
was a massive amount of filming that I had done, so I
had hundreds of hours of footage to sort through. It
has now been 3 years since the starting of my company
and I am happy to say that I have expanded it even
more. I am working on my studio that will soon be
completed. I have taken on photography, screen
printing, button making, and more filming. Boreded UP
is slowly coming back into full effect and I am super
pumped to get more business. I film bands, and do
music videos. I love taking photos and do
photo-shoots with my buddy Milo. I am dipping my feet
into many different ponds to see what I enjoy doing
the most, but I am definitely loving my life right
now, and taking it as it comes. Keep checking back
here for more updates. They will be coming more often
once my studio is done. Thank you for visiting my
site and keep your eyes open for Boreded Up. We are
definitely going somewhere! Love, J-Rod
